Amanda Jacobs started Naked Hats in 2024 with a simple belief: the best party favors aren’t things people receive — they’re things people make. The idea for a mobile hat bar came from years running Too Cute Things, a company specializing in custom gifts and apparel. What started as an add-on to Too Cute Things has grown into the Bay Area’s most trusted mobile hat bar, with clients ranging from Google and Netflix to intimate backyard birthday parties in Los Gatos. Amanda still leads every activation personally, bringing the same hands-on approach that built Too Cute Things into a trusted Bay Area custom gifts brand.
Every activation we run carries the same DNA as the first one: premium hats, a handpicked patch collection, expert on-site staffing, and a genuine commitment to making every single guest feel like the creative director of their own keepsake. Amanda brings 15 years of PR, marketing, and event management experience from leading consumer agencies in London to every Naked Hats activation. After relocating to Los Gatos in 2013 with her family, she channeled that background into Too Cute Things, a local custom gifts and apparel business — and eventually into Naked Hats, the mobile hat bar that’s become the Bay Area’s most trusted live customization experience.
What makes Amanda’s activations different is the obsession she brings to the patch collection. She spends much of her free time sourcing unique and unexpected patches from around the world and designing originals — which is why the Naked Hats gallery is one of the largest and most distinctive in the Bay Area. Every patch in the collection has been personally chosen by Amanda, and it shows.
Having spent years on both sides of the events industry — as a client directing high-profile campaigns and as a vendor delivering them — Amanda understands exactly what it takes to make an event genuinely work. That dual perspective shapes everything from how she staffs an activation to how she communicates with clients in the lead-up to their event.

We serve corporate and private clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley — including San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Palo Alto, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Cupertino, Menlo Park, San Mateo, Campbell, Los Altos, Saratoga, and Santa Cruz.
