Naked Hats Mobile Hat Bar is hiring event staff across the Bay Area.

We’re the Bay Area’s most-booked mobile hat bar — and we need brilliant people to help us bring the experience to more events. If you love working with people, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and want a job that’s genuinely unlike anything else you’ve done, we want to hear from you.

This isn’t a desk job. You’ll be at corporate events, weddings, mitzvahs, birthday parties, and conferences — pressing custom hats, helping guests design their looks, and being the energy that makes every event memorable.

What the Job Actually Looks Like

Every event is different — the venue, the guests, the vibe. But your role stays consistent: show up ready, set up the bar, help guests create something they love, and make the whole experience feel effortless.

On a typical event you’ll:

Set up and break down the Naked Hats bar at venues across the Bay Area — hotels, corporate campuses, event spaces, private homes, outdoor venues
Help guests browse our patch collection and design their custom hat or bag — guiding, suggesting, and genuinely engaging with every person at the bar
Operate a professional heat press to press custom patches onto hats, beanies, tote bags, and pouches on the spot
Keep the bar organized, clean, and running smoothly throughout the event
Represent Naked Hats with warmth, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm — you’re the face of the brand at every activation
Work as part of a team of 2–10+ staff depending on event size

What We're Looking For

We hire for personality first. The hat bar skills are easy to learn. The right attitude is what makes our activations special.

You’d be a great fit if you:

Are genuinely warm and comfortable talking to people — guests of all ages, backgrounds, and personalities
Are reliable and take punctuality seriously — events have start times we can’t miss
Are comfortable standing for 3–5 hours at a time — events are active, on your feet
Are based in the Bay Area and have reliable transportation to get to venues across San Francisco, San Jose, Silicon Valley, and surrounding areas
Are available Monday to Friday for both daytime and evening events — some events start mid-morning, others run into the evening
Can take direction and work as part of a team while also being confident working independently when needed
Present yourself well and take pride in how you show up
Are genuinely enthusiastic — this job requires real energy, and guests feel it immediately

Bonus points if you:

Have experience in hospitality, retail, events, customer service, or any people-facing role
Have worked at events or activations before
Are comfortable with quick setup and teardown of display equipment
Already know what Naked Hats is — and got excited when you saw this posting

Availability

This is a flexible, event-based role — you’re booked per event rather than fixed weekly hours. Events happen across the week and we’ll reach out based on your stated availability.

Monday to Friday — daytime and evening availability needed
Daytime events: typically 10am–4pm
Evening events: typically 5pm–10pm
Event duration: usually 3–5 hours on-site including setup and breakdown plus travel (often in San Francisco)
Weekend availability is a bonus but not required

We try to give you as much notice as possible for upcoming events. The more available you are, the more events we can offer you.
